Workers Compensation Benefits in Henderson NV

If you have a work injury in the State of Nevada and now find yourself in the middle of trying to figure out and/or apply for your workers’ compensation benefits, you likely have more questions than answers. Well, your trusted Henderson chiropractors have researched three of the most commonly asked questions and found the answers for you – so you don’t have to.

What is Covered?

Depending upon the extent of your work injury, you may qualify for all or some of the following benefits:

  • Partial recovery of lost wages, not to exceed sixty-six and two-thirds percent of your average monthly wage (which maxes out at $3,527.13 as of July 1, 2013). This amount may be lower if you have received workers’ compensation benefits in the past.
  • Vocational rehabilitation services, or job retraining, which may apply if you are no longer able to complete the job-related functions that you were once responsible for as a result of your work injury.
  • Reimbursement of transportation expenses that you incur during the course of seeking medical treatment as a result of your work injury.

How Do I Get Benefits?

In order to qualify for workers’ compensation benefits, you first need to notify your supervisor or employer as soon as you can (preferably immediately, if possible) as the appropriate forms must be completed within seven days.

From there, Form C-4, Employee’s Claim for Compensation/Report of Initial Treatment is provided by your medical care provider, whether it is a medical doctor or one of our trusted Henderson chiropractors. The doctor (either Dr. Roger Russell, Dr. Alexander Janda, or Dr. Troy Russell, in our case) is then responsible for submitting the form to the appropriate agencies within three working days, thereby initiating your claim.

Can I Go To Any Doctor or Chiropractor?

No. Your Henderson chiropractor or doctor must be a member of the Panel of Treating Physicians and Chiropractors. You’ll find all of our Henderson chiropractors on this panel, making us key players in your workers’ compensation case!
